As far as i know linux use kernal to connect between hardware and application. i would like to ask do windows use kernel?

No.. First MBR get loaded then boot loader after wards its bootloader responsibility to load kernel and then kernel take the control over HAL and going forth starts the System shell for user interaction.

Yes it is like on inner circle you have HARDWARE which has KERNEL as its next layer and KERNEL is covered with OS LAYER and at last there is USER..

As far as i know kernel is use to link application and hardware together. it sounds like an OS so is kernel one of the module of OS?

I think the answer should be in short and simple sentence.
But what if it's not a simple answer? Others have asked this question or wanted to understand so people wrote more detailed explanations... why should we restate those explanations - odds are, those detailed explanations are more accurate, having been reviewed hundreds or thousands of times, rather than once or twice by us and maybe we thought we typed "not" but didn't which can change the whole meaning of the comment!
Why not you just tell me the answer to show me you have the knowledge
