In Excel, if I try to use VBA to update a cell in a protected worksheet, it will result in error.
How can I solve this problem?

you can do  Unprotect Sheet - run code - reprotect sheet

Sheets("Sheet1").Unprotect "passwordgoeshere"
'Do stuff
Sheets("Sheet1").Protect "passwordgoeshere"
