My PC is part of a domain. Today I was trying to login normally but I was getting can't create trust error.
I logged in locally using my domain user which is local admin as per the domain group policy and removed my PC from the domain so I can join it again.
Now I'm trying to login locally again after removing the PC from the domain but it is failing. I tried to enable the local administrator account using the CMD but again It is not working.
Any idea how to resolve this issue?
Thanks

What happens if you run gpupdate via command prompt then try to log in again?

Deleted comment that mentioned a CD that isn't allowed on this site, as it contains pirated software.

Another tool which has been successful for me in the past is ERD Commander - I don't think that this is free though.

Is it different that you login as adm through CMD from following link ?
Take look at this link if you lost adminstrator password

I'm getting the username or password is not correct.
Author: ramziabk replied at 2024-07-10 02:06:04
Now I don't have the option to choose the domain.
As I mentioned before, I've already removed my machine from the domain.
I need to login locally and I'm using the administrator account I just activate using CMD but it it not working!

Expert: tankergoblin replied at 2024-07-10 02:02:42
if you remove from domain then you need to login using local admin or local user..
in your domain you must select local.

Well David I don't remember the Local Admin Password. I just enable the local administrator using the CMD but can't log in still.
What are the third party tools you mentioned?
Thanks

Hello,
You will need to know the local admin password so that you can login and re-join the domain. When you logged in as the domain user you used the local cache credentials not an actual local account. When you disjoined from the domain that login became invalid.
If you do not know the local admin password there are ways of resetting it with third party tools.
