I have a Toshiba P75-A7100 Laptop.  It Got a little shaken up the other day and when I go to boot it now it asks for the bios password  I removed the Battery and it still asks for the password.  I looked for the jumper to reset it and can not find it.  Tech support wants me to send it back and that is just ridiculous.  The laptop is maybe a week old.  Anybody have any ideas where the reset jumpers maybe on this laptop.

Modern Laptops don't have reset buttons or jumpers to remove a BIOS password, and removing batteries won't help either. BIOS passwords are there to make the PC worthless to thief’s, and so they can't be reset easily. So if you can't remember the password which you probably set accidentally, you won't be able to reset it yourself. Some laptop manufacturers have a master password that is calculated based on the PC's serial number, and if you provide them with proof of ownership (like the invoice when you bought the piece), they will provide you with that master password so you can reset it. Others need to replace the security chip, so for those you have to send the laptop back to them.
