Hi,

If i want to run web application on tomcat, do I need to install Apache seprately and configure http connector ? Or does tomcat provide it's own web server?

Thank you very much. Most companies how do they normally approach? they have Apache in the front? And use tomcat to to serve JSP request?

Tomcat is a web server of its own, so no, Apache (the web server) is not required. You probably will want to change Tomcat's port though, since it defaults to 8080 and web sites are usually on port 80.
