so you mean you already complete uninstall JAVA on control panel and then try re-install that is not working,

Sorry I did not choice browser, My first post. I am installing it on a Windows 7 OS. Java was fine a week ago. I installed Java 7 and that seem to be when all the problem started. I ran a Java utility that removed everything related to Java in system file and registry but I cannot reinstall any version now.

This is a local install not going thought proxy.

Do you disable any proxy server on browser completely ? please disable it first(if any) before install
